Essay in photo book on the children born into Lebensborn

Ingvill Constanze Ødegaard contributed an essay entitled “Endurance and Empowerment – reflections on the life development of children of the Lebensborn”, in a new photo book by Angeniet Berkers on the national socialist Lebensborn campaign. ‘

Under the name “Lebenborn”, the Nazis orchestrated racialised birthing policies throughout Europe before and during Second World War. With her essay, Ingvill Constanze Ødegaard presents an overview of the knowledge base on children born of war. This research field emerged with regard to the so-called Lebensborn children in Norway.
